Playlee vs Pitchero
Subscription + processing, or one all-in fee?
Pitchero and Playlee price club software in fundamentally different ways. Neither is automatically cheaper — it depends on your club — so here's the actual maths, worked through on a real-sized club.
Two pricing models
Pitchero's paid packages start at £38/month (up to 20 teams) with payment processing from 2.42% + 17p, rising to £99/month with lower processing rates for bigger clubs. The subscription is due every month, whether or not money comes in.
Playlee has no subscription at all — one all-in fee of 3.25% + 20p per transaction, card processing included. Collect nothing in July, pay nothing in July.
Pitchero figures from pitchero.com/pricing, checked 26 July 2026; their “from” rates may vary by club — always confirm with them.
A 120-member club collecting £30/month, monthly platform cost
- Pitchero Standard (£38 + from 2.42% + 17p)
- £146.00
- Playlee (3.25% + 20p, nothing else)
- £141.60
Illustrative, using Pitchero's published “from” Standard rates as checked 26 July 2026. Our side is computed by the same code that runs our billing. Smaller clubs tilt further towards no-subscription pricing; very large clubs should run both sums.
Run your own numbers →Built for different jobs
Pitchero grew up around the club website — public pages, news, sponsors, and membership tools attached. If a polished public website is your club's first priority, it does that job well.
Playlee grew up around the other 95% of club life — the part that happens in registrations, payments and matchday, not on a public homepage:
Registration built for junior football
Photo and ID collection, identity-gated child data, age and gender eligibility enforced per team, safeguarding and DBS records for the committee.
A live matchday console
Formats, formations, drag-and-drop subs, fair minutes and a live match centre parents can follow from anywhere.
An app parents actually adopt
Sign in with a text code, see only your own children, pay in two taps. No passwords, no public member lists.
Migration done for you
Members, teams, guardians and fee plans imported before you commit — nothing sent to parents until you approve it.
