Register players with the league (FA Club Portal)
Use People → League registration to copy each player’s details and photo into the FA Club Portal, email yourself the ID pack, and track who is submitted and registered.

What this page is for
League registration is separate from approving a player into your club. Once a player is with you, the league usually needs them registered on the FA Club Portal. This page gathers everything the portal asks for, per player, so you can copy it across and keep track of where each player is up to.
Each player has a league status: Not submitted, Submitted to league, or Registered. Changing it here does not send anything to the FA; it is your club’s own record.

Register a player with the league

Open People → League registration
Filter to “Not submitted” and the team you are working on.

Open the player and copy their details across
Copy first name, surname, date of birth, FAN, address, postcode and parent details into the FA Club Portal. If something shows “Not on file”, use Add to fill it in.

Prepare and drag the photo
Use “Prepare photo” for a free edit on your device, or “AI background removal” if needed, then drag the photo straight into the portal’s upload box.

Check the ID
Use “View ID”. If a parent uploaded the ID in the photo slot (or the other way round), use “Photo is the ID? Swap”, which also fixes it on the parent’s record.

Mark submitted
When you have sent the player to the league, choose “Mark submitted” in the panel, or tick several players and use the selection bar.

Send the ID pack if the league wants IDs by email
Tick the players and choose “Email me the ID pack”. You get an email with a summary and each player’s latest ID attached; players with no ID on file are listed so none are missed.

Mark registered once the league confirms
Tick the players and choose “Mark registered”. Use Clear status to put a player back to Not submitted.
Important checks
- The FAN is recorded for every returning player.
- The photo is a proper head-and-shoulders photo, not the ID.
- Players with no ID are chased before the pack is sent.
- Statuses match what the league has actually confirmed.
Common questions
Is this the same as approving a registration?
No. Approving happens in People → Registrations and decides whether the player joins your club. League registration is the later step of registering them with the league.
Does “Mark submitted” send anything to the FA?
No. It only records the status in Playlee. You still submit the player in the FA Club Portal yourself.
I cannot see League registration under People.
It appears for football clubs only, and changing statuses needs club owner, club admin or registrar access.

Where do I record why a player is held up?
Add a registration note in the player panel. Notes keep the text, the time and who added it.
