Playlee vs PLAI Sport

One of us is on a waitlist. The other is running matchdays.

As of 26 July 2026, PLAI is inviting clubs to join the waitlist for PLAI 3.0, advertised to launch in August 2026. Playlee Clubs is live now — real clubs, real registrations, real money collected. Here's the fair version of that comparison.

Credit where it's due

PLAI's existing app has shipped a broad set of club features over several years and carries strong store ratings. It supports many sports, and the company behind it has real history and a real audience. If you're a multi-sport organisation happy to wait and see what 3.0 delivers, it deserves a look.

But a relaunch is a relaunch. PLAI's own material describes 3.0's scope as payments, communications, events and availability — and its fee promotion quotes a discounted percentage without making clear whether card processing or a fixed fee sits on top. Until it ships, a club evaluating PLAI 3.0 is evaluating a promise.

Based on PLAI's public website and early-access pages as checked 26 July 2026. If you're reading this after PLAI 3.0 has launched, check their current material — and hold us to the same standard.

What you can verify about Playlee today

  • A published, all-in fee

3.25% + 20p per transaction, card processing included, no subscription — on a £30 sub your club receives £28.82. The calculator on our pricing page runs on our real billing code.

  • Apps you can download right now

The Playlee Clubs app is live on the App Store and Google Play — registration to matchday, today, not after a launch date.

  • Football-first depth

Live matchday console with fair minutes, team eligibility rules, safeguarding and DBS tracking, pitch maps, and a full tournament platform alongside the club product.

  • A demo that starts set up

Book a demo and we build your club before the call — teams, members and fee plans imported. You judge the real thing, not slides.

Questions to ask any platform mid-relaunch

Including us — these are the ones that separate marketing from product.

  1. Is the full fee published — percentage, fixed fee and card processing — in one number?
  2. Can I use the product today, with my club's real data, before committing?
  3. Who does the migration work — you or my volunteers?
  4. What exactly can each role see about a child, and who approves reveals?
  5. What happens on matchday, after the availability list?
