Join a club and register your child

Use the link or team code from your club, or find the club by name, then fill in the sign-up form. Links never expire on their own.

Before you start

  • The link or team code from your club (or the club’s name)
  • A UK or Ireland mobile number

How joining works

Every team on Playlee has its own sign-up link and a short numeric team code. The club or coach shares one of those with you. Opening the link or entering the code takes you straight to that team’s sign-up form.

If you have no link or code, you can search for the club by name instead. Some teams can only be joined through a link, so if you cannot find yours, ask the coach for it.

Registration and invite links never expire on their own. A link only stops working if the club pauses, archives or revokes it, or if the club set a limit on how many times it can be used and that limit has been reached.

Join using the app

  1. 1

Open the link from your club on your phone

The page shows the team you are joining and your team code. On Android, tap “Get the Playlee app to sign up”: Google Play remembers the code for when the app opens. On iPhone, the same button opens the App Store and copies your link so the app can offer to paste it. If you already have the app, tap “Already have the app? Open it here”.

  2. 2

Sign in with your mobile number

Enter your mobile number, then the 6-digit code we text you. If you are new, add your name and email to create your account.

  3. 3

Enter your code if you were given one

Choose “I’ve been sent a link or code”, type the code on “Enter your join code” and tap Continue. Codes are 4, 6 or 8 digits.

  4. 4

    No code? Find the club

Tap “No code? Find the club” and type at least two letters of the club’s name, then choose the club and the team.

  5. 5

    Fill in the sign-up form

Add your child’s details and anything the club asks for. If the team offers payment plans you must choose one, and you can add a promo code if the club gave you one.

  6. 6

    Read the confirmation screen

If the club approves automatically you will see that your child is in the team. Otherwise it says the club will confirm the place. If there is a signing-on fee, the place is confirmed once it is paid; you can pay straight away or later under Plans.

Prefer to use a computer?

  • On the join page, choose “Or continue in your browser” to fill in the same form on the web. You will be asked to create a Playlee account or log in first.
  • To search on the web, use the “Find your child’s club” page, type the club name and choose “Find club”.
  • After registering on the web, get the Playlee Clubs app for the schedule, availability and messages. Sign in with your mobile number.

Check you are done

  • You signed in with the mobile number or email the club knows you by.
  • The confirmation screen showed the right child and team.
  • Any signing-on fee is paid, or you know it is waiting under Plans.
  • Each child has their own registration, even if they join the same team.

Common questions

The page says “This join link is no longer active”. Has it expired?

No. Links never expire on their own. This message means the club has paused or archived that link, the link has reached a usage limit the club set, or the code was typed wrongly. Check the code with your club or ask them to share the current link.

It says “Too many attempts”.

Too many team codes were tried from your internet connection in a short time. Wait a little while and try again, or open the full link from your club instead of typing the code.

I searched but my club is not listed.

Check the spelling or try a shorter part of the name. Some teams are set up so they can only be joined through a link, so ask your coach for the team’s link or code.

The form asks me to choose a payment plan.

When a team offers payment plans, choosing one is required. If you are unsure which to pick, ask the club before submitting.

What happens after I submit?

Many clubs approve automatically once any signing-on fee is paid. Others review every registration by hand, and some registrations need a check if they match a child the club already has. Either way you will see either “your child is in the team” or “the club will confirm the place”.

I got a warning that the player might already be registered.

The club may already have your child on its books, for example from a previous season or because another parent registered them. Read the masked email shown and see “Manage family access and an existing player”. Do not create a second record to get round it.

Can I register myself as an adult player?

Only if the team takes registrations from players themselves. Otherwise you will see “This team takes registrations from a parent or guardian. Ask a parent to register you.”

Can I ask a club to let me in without a link?

Not as a parent. Join requests in the app are for team managers bringing a new team into a club (“I run a team”). Parents join with the club’s link or code, or by finding the club by name.
