What you will do
This guide gets you from a blank organiser account to a tournament with the right name, dates, venue, pitches and daily timings in place.
Create tournament opens a five-step guided setup: Tournament basics, Dates and venue, Categories, Entries and payments, and Create tournament. You can also start from an existing flyer using the Use a flyer tab.
Every new tournament starts on the Free plan, which covers up to 8 teams. If your expected team numbers are higher, the last step offers to upgrade before you continue.
Before you start
- Have the tournament name, venue name, town or city, and dates ready.
- Know your age groups, playing formats and roughly how many teams you expect in each.
- Know your first start time, target finish time and default match length.
How to do it
- 1
From the Tournaments home page, select Create tournament.
Choose Guided setup to fill the form in, or Use a flyer if you already have a poster with the details on it.
- 2
Tournament basics: enter the Tournament name.
Use the name you want families and clubs to see, because it appears on the public page.
- 3
Dates and venue: set the date (or tick This is a multi-day event and set From date and To date), then the Venue name, Town or city and your pitches.
Use Add pitch for each pitch. Then set the First start time, Target finish time, Default match length (minutes) and Default gap between matches (minutes). These drive the scheduler later, so use realistic matchday hours.
- 4
Categories: add each Age group, Gender and Playing format, with Expected teams and Teams per group.
- 5
Entries and payments: set the Entry deadline and Entry fee, and choose whether to Let clubs register online now and How clubs pay.
You can change all of this later in Settings.
- 6
Select Create tournament.
If your expected teams add up to more than 8, you will see Create on Free and Create and upgrade to Standard or Pro instead. Upgrading here opens checkout on the same page and applies the plan as soon as payment completes.
Check you are ready
- The tournament name, dates and venue are correct.
- The start time, finish time and match length reflect the real day you plan to run.
- You can open the tournament and see the Setup guide and Matchday Centre.
If something looks wrong
If something looks wrong
Wrong dates or daily timings at the start usually create avoidable scheduling work later. You can fix them in Settings under General Details and Tournament Days.
