What you will do

Settings has two parts. Settings covers the core event: General Details, Tournament Days, Structure & Categories and Pitches. Advanced settings covers optional features such as public signup, entry fees, public info, rules, branding, tickets and the venue screen.

Before you start

  • Know the age groups, formats and rough team numbers you expect.
  • Confirm the venue and daily timings with the real venue operator.
  • Keep a note of anything that is still provisional.

Where to go

Settings
General Details, Tournament Days, Structure & Categories and Pitches.
Advanced settings
Optional features, Tournament Signup Settings (entry fees), Public signup page, Public info page, rules, Directory listing, Branding & sponsors and Referee configuration.

How to do it

  1. 1

Open Settings and check General Details, then select Save Changes.

  2. 2

Check Tournament Days so each day has the right start and finish times.

  3. 3

Under Structure & Categories, check each category. Set a Team capacity and an Entry deadline (your local time) if you want to limit entries.

  4. 4

Check the Pitches card lists every pitch you will use.

  5. 5

Open Advanced settings and switch on only the Optional features you need, then select Save feature switches.

Each feature's settings appear further down the page once it is switched on.

  6. 6

Review the public page before you open entries or share the link.

Check you are ready

  • General Details and Tournament Days are complete and correct.
  • Each category has the right capacity and deadline.
  • Only the optional features you need are switched on.
  • There is no placeholder wording on the public page.

If something looks wrong

If something looks wrong

Opening entries before the settings are stable usually creates avoidable support work later.

Delete a match day

  1. 1

Open Settings and find Tournament Days

Identify the exact date before using its delete control.

  2. 2

    Delete the intended date

The existing action deletes that day and recalculates the tournament start and end dates from the remaining days. Linked records can prevent deletion under the existing database rules.

  3. 3

    Check the remaining days

Deleting a day does not regenerate fixtures or send families a notification. In Support, review the selected date and approve the deletion separately.

Edit a pitch or court

  1. 1

    Open Pitches

Use the Pitches page or the Pitches card in Settings and edit the intended resource.

  2. 2

Check its name, playing size and order

Save the exact resource name, size and display order. Existing fixture assignments are not regenerated by this edit.

  3. 3

    Review the saved resource

Check the ordering and any schedule that uses the resource. No notification is sent.

Delete a pitch or court

  1. 1

    Find the resource on Pitches

Identify the exact pitch or court before using its delete control.

  2. 2

    Check dependent fixtures before deleting

Deletion uses the existing database relationship rules and can be refused for linked records. It is not a request to regenerate the schedule.

  3. 3

    Check the list afterwards

The action refreshes the relevant tournament pages and sends no notification.

Choose optional features

  1. 1

Open Advanced settings and Optional features

Review public info, public signup, competition rules, branding, tickets and presentation.

  2. 2

    Set every switch deliberately

Select Save feature switches. The existing plan still determines whether paid-plan features can be used.

  3. 3

    Configure any feature you enabled

A feature switch exposes its existing tools; it does not complete signup, publish a ticket product, take a payment or send invitations. Check the public pages after visibility changes.

Edit a category in Settings

  1. 1

Open Settings, Structure & Categories, then edit the category

Check its name, gender, playing format and competition format.

  2. 2

    Review timing and entry controls

Enter match duration, changeover and minimum rest, team capacity and entry deadline. Select the match days; their stored local clocks are used. If available, review Finals on a different day and its selected date.

  3. 3

    Check linked effects before saving

Football divisions inherit category gender and playing format. Other sports retain their existing inheritance rules. Finals-day settings can replace linked division-day settings, and the action may preserve a legacy rules baseline.

  4. 4

    Check the result

Playing or competition format and timing changes can be refused after fixtures exist; capacity and deadlines can still be edited. This action does not charge or refund entry fees or notify teams.

Delete a category in Settings

  1. 1

    Open Structure & Categories

Use the delete control on the exact category.

  2. 2

    Read the confirmation before deleting

Deletion affects linked records according to existing database relationship rules and may be refused. Do not use it as a refund or team-withdrawal operation.

  3. 3

    Check the remaining structure

The existing editor returns success or an error. No payment, refund or notification is executed.

Edit a division in Settings

  1. 1

Open Structure & Categories and edit the division

Check the division name and any game-duration override.

  2. 2

    Respect category inheritance

Football divisions inherit category gender and playing format. For other sports, use the offered gender and playing-format controls. Clearing the duration override returns to the inherited duration.

  3. 3

    Save and check the division

This does not generate fixtures or notify teams. Existing sport validation still applies.

Delete a division in Settings

  1. 1

    Open Structure & Categories

Use the delete control for the intended division.

  2. 2

    Review the delete confirmation

Existing teams, fixtures and other linked records remain subject to database relationship rules, so deletion can fail.

  3. 3

    Check the structure afterwards

This action does not redistribute teams, issue refunds or send notifications; use Format when you intend to rebuild the competition structure.

Change publication and entry settings

  1. 1

    Open Advanced settings

Review the public competition page, public signup controls and Tournament Signup Settings.

  2. 2

    Choose every intended setting

Set publication, directory opt-out, signup/payment mode, entry and multi-team fees, currency, deadline and the required contact/player fields. Enter public wording in the actual fields, not chat.

  3. 3

Save and review the public result

Effective fee and payment requirements must be checked before saving. This can update directory visibility and check online setup; it does not itself take a payment or send a message.

Add a tournament sponsor

  1. 1

    Open Branding and sponsors

Confirm the tournament plan and branding feature allow sponsors.

  2. 2

    Add the sponsor

Enter its name, public logo URL, optional website URL and Gold, Silver or Bronze tier.

  3. 3

    Save and check visibility

The sponsor can appear in public branding. This does not upload an image, collect sponsorship money or send a message.

Remove a tournament sponsor

  1. 1

    Open Branding and sponsors

Choose the existing named sponsor on your tournament.

  2. 2

    Delete the sponsor

Confirm removal of that sponsor row.

  3. 3

    Check public branding

The public display refreshes; no refund or notification is sent.
