What you will do

The venue screen display is designed for matchday use on a venue screen, laptop or connected TV. Open it with Open display on the Venue screen page.

Before you start

  • The top-right buttons handle previous slide, play or pause, next slide and fullscreen.
  • Keyboard shortcuts work from the display page itself, so click the page once if focus has moved elsewhere.
  • Auto-rotation follows the slide timing set up on the Venue screen page, but you can pause it at any time.

Where to go

The top-right control cluster for manual playback and fullscreen.

How to do it

  1. 1

Use the previous and next buttons to move through slides manually.

This is the fastest way to jump to a specific results or fixtures slide.

  2. 2

Use the play or pause button to stop or resume auto-rotation.

Pause when one slide needs to stay up for longer, for example during announcements.

  3. 3

Use the fullscreen button before the audience starts relying on the screen.

  4. 4

From a laptop keyboard, press Space to play or pause, Arrow Left and Arrow Right to change slides, and F for fullscreen.

Check you are ready

  • The display page has browser focus before you use keyboard shortcuts.
  • Fullscreen is on before the venue display goes live.
  • The operator knows how to pause rotation and move to the next slide.

If something looks wrong

If keyboard shortcuts do not respond, click anywhere on the display first so the browser sends the key presses to it rather than another app or tab.

Reorder a presentation slide

  1. 1

Open Presentation and find the slide

Use its Up or Down control to move it one position in the slide list.

  2. 2

    Check the adjacent order

The action swaps the two stored positions. A slide already at the requested boundary stays where it is.

  3. 3

    Check the venue display

The presentation refreshes; slide content and activation stay unchanged. No message is sent to spectators.

Initialise a tournament presentation

  1. 1

    Open Presentation controls

Use the tournament presentation/display page as a permitted organiser or co-admin.

  2. 2

    Initialise if missing

Create the presentation with the default Upcoming Fixtures, Recent Results and Standings slides.

  3. 3

    Review the live display

The existing presentation is retained when already initialised. No spectator message or charge is made.

Change presentation settings

  1. 1

    Open Presentation settings

    Review the current tournament display.

  2. 2

    Set the intended controls

Choose enabled state, automatic rotation, default duration, accent colour and public image URLs, then save.

  3. 3

    Check the screen

The live display refreshes. This path uploads no files and sends no spectator message or payment.

Add a presentation slide

  1. 1

    Open the slide list

Use the presentation controls for the current tournament.

  2. 2

    Add the slide

Choose its supported type, optional division, item limit and the relevant title/text/image/QR fields.

  3. 3

    Check the live display

The new active slide is appended. Entered text and URLs can become public on the display; no file upload or message is sent.

Edit a presentation slide

  1. 1

    Choose the existing slide

Use its named position in the presentation list.

  2. 2

    Edit the complete slide

Set its type, active state, duration, optional division, item limit and relevant content fields, then save.

  3. 3

    Review the refreshed screen

This replaces the entered slide configuration. It does not upload a file, notify spectators or take a payment.

Delete a presentation slide

  1. 1

    Choose the current slide

Open the named slide in the presentation controls.

  2. 2

    Delete and confirm

Remove that slide from the list.

  3. 3

    Check the ordering

The ordering gap closes and the live display refreshes; no spectator notification or payment is sent.
